Program Overview
Medical Assistant program provides 1,300 hours of training in all relevant areas of education and practice for a Medical Assisting professional.
The curriculum includes health science fundamentals, medical terminology, legal and ethical responsibilities, medical office management, administrative and clinical duties, phlebotomy, EKG, and pharmacology.
Students demonstrate their medical assisting skills in a 230-hour clinical externship at a medical office or health facility. After completion, students are eligible to sit for the CCMA examination with the National Healthcareer Association.
